Well it'$ in the air now...
Verizon can now thottle top five percent of bandwidth hogs, downres multimedia uploads - http://pulsene.ws/XAop

I know I'll never be in the top 5% of data users on VZW's network so I don't care about that... the downres concerns me though.

Isn't that what the data throttle removal mod disables though?

If they do it to the device the hack works. If they choose to do it to the servers then it won't do anything. I would think they would throttle at the servers.

I'm hoping it does, we have devs arguing this point though. The hack they say is on the phone, our end. "Who's to stop Verizon from doing anything on their end?" So who really knows?

When i was running GummyJar (which had the hack) I noticed a significant increase in bandwidth at my work site. (some days I swear, nothing in that break room!) We'll see in the next months or so what these changes will translate to if any. (Am I just paranoid)?

I doubt its going to affect anyone unless they are tethering....
just find it hard that you can use THAT much data just on the phone.

From another article I read on the issue, it is said to only appy to new subscribers after a certain date.
