Data usage stat in connections

Hi everyone,

I usually rely on the data usage from the connections settings to see how close I am to my limit and the figure is way off, it says 12 gig but when I go on my carrier site it's only 2 gig

Anyone else have this issue, it's not a big deal what you see in data usage is supposed to be just a guide anyway but to be this far off? Never had this with any other device
