Data usage

Holy crap....
I usually have a few hundred MB of usage a month.
This month was 2.8 gb....I installed pandora and ran it for an hour (today I did for 6).
Other than that I can't see what is using that much data.
Maybe DL podcasts via google listen?

Now Tony... when it comes to data usage, I think Don't ask/Don't tell is probably the wise path.

I run Pandora all day at work... I do know that if I don't manage the podcast downloaded via listen, my SD card gets full... maybe that is your problem. Try just downloading podcasts via WIFI at home.

The phone is constantly syncing information so it will use a lot more data. The more alps and widgets you have that require internet the more data you'll use but hey we have unlimited plans it works out fine for us

ah but we are soft capped at 5gb.....

Can you set to only download podcasts when in wifi? I didn't know that was an option.

We are not capped on Verizon. The 5 GB cap is for mobile broadband cards, not phone data plans.

yeah we have unlimited data plans...although i have heard that it truly is a cap of 5gb being for tethered as stated above

I am not sure but last time I looked at the unlimited plan it just said unlimited and there was no * or small print that disclaimed a cap. If they did say anything about a cap I would just sue them for false advertising.

Almost 100% positive the cap is for tethering so we don't have to worry on our phones and yes I agree we could file one massive lawsuit for false advertising in that situation

I got worried and called and check with vzw and she said "but you have unlimited and your fine " lol I'd hope she knew whats correct and not

Yep I think there is a cap and it used to be for streaming and tethering but now just for tethering.....
