Here's what I want to do. I want to un-root my phone (get rid of scott pilgrim) go back to the original ZVD then update it to ZVJ and possibly re-root it on the ZVJ.

Are there any good ROMs on ZVJ or would I be better off with just ZVJ itself?

Or is there an easier task than that?

Are there any good ROMs on ZVJ? Yes!

or would I be better off with just ZVJ itself? Probably not.

Why not try moving to ZVD first, rooting easily, then try out all the ZVD and ZVJ ROMs you want? There is a patch to allow you to do this; details in the Welcome Guide and the respective thread.

what you should do is root zvd. STAY ON ZVD! A LOT EASIER THAN GETTING ROOTED ZVJ! There is a patch now that allows you to flash roms that are for other basebands. if you want a zvj rom on zvd, you just flash the rom like normal, your gapps, and then the patch. the patch allows you to have service and working data on roms that are meant for different basebands. link is here. I do not take credit for this patch! http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?p=2017421

I would root my wii if it ran on Android, but i have already hacked it. :)

Ok that was much clearer than normal. So what your saying is, to get rid of Scott Pilgrim, I would un-root to ZVD, then re-root it so I can try other Roms?

Now, say I wanted a ROM that is only for ZVJ and I'm still on ZVD, all I would have to do is flash that J ROM and then get the first patch on the page that goes from D to J, flash that and it would essentially be a ZVD phone on ZVJ ROM?

No need to unroot. You are rooted on zvd to be on zefies Scott Pilgrim. Just download needed files, boot to recovery, wipe and flash!

You may want to upgrade your recovery to COT 1.2, if you haven't already, but yes.

Also, to run a ZVJ ROM on ZVD, you would want the ZVJ to ZVD mod, not the other way around. You're bringing to the ROM to the baseband and phone, not the other way around. ;)
