Well, I dropped my One already. Sort of. It was set to vibrate with my alarm this morning, and gosh darn it, the vibrator is so strong it vibrated right off my desk and hit the hardwood floor. No damage, and seems to still work, but I immediately turned off the vibrate and suggest you do too if this scenario looks likely in your future. [Moderator edit.] Is there a vibrate strength setting somewhere for the rest of us?

Agreed, my 12 daughter comes on these forums at times. It's a phone tech forum, you think we can keep it clean?

First of all just wanted to thank the OP for the info and awareness tip. Second of all the joke was funny and hilarious, nothing wrong with a joke or 2 and I agree if a 12 year old got the joke then it's too late. It's not like he was graphical and used foul language. Lets get passed this and continue to enjoy the forums guys, thx.

To all in this thread: whether or not you as an individual are comfortable with such comments on a forum like this, we need to recognize that not everyone will be comfortable with it and not everyone will feel that such comments are permissible. I've removed the comment in question and a few posts as well, not because they themselves were offending in any way but rather that they were far off-topic for the One forums and the idiom "opening a can of worms" comes to mind.

Back on topic, while I don't have a One (yet! :)), I have had this happen more than once with my Nexus 4 and once or twice with other Android phones. Watching your phone propel itself off of a table isn't fun.

I was wondering where my post was...
Couldn't you just use a ringtone.
I recommend making your own, mainly due to the fact the stock ringtones burn my ears...

Sent from my XOOM, not any more though.

This is why my phone lays on the ground when I charge it tucked away so no one can step on it but close enough to be heard. I also got a case just in case it falls I can keep the aluminum pretty
