Day 4 with Thunderbolt

Can anyone out there make a app that toggles the phone between 3g when the phone is locked and 4g when unlocked? This would be the best because the battery life is significantly better when on 3g but you still want the 4g power.

Yea yest was alright for battery life. Lets see how today goes. W. Day 5. I wanna see atleast a good 12 hours.

I'm on day 2. Unplugged it from the car charger when I got in to work at 8AM; it's now 3:30 - 7.5hrs and it's at 39%. Good with that, it should get better as it adapts...and then it'll be much happier with CM7 :-)

Ordered my phone last week and got it yesterday. I was worried about battery life after reading all the posts but was pleasantly surprised when I went 15 hours on my first charge.

Got the phone last night, and plugged it in to fully charge (didn't even bump charge it). Took phone off the charger last night around 9:30pm. Was up till about 2:30am setting it up. Turned off sync for items I don't use, reduced screen brightness, set up all my email accounts, stocks, facebook, downloaded a bunch of apps, and personalized it. When I went to bed at 3am, it still had about 50+ juice left - that was after 5 hours of moderate to heavy use.

Woke up at 7:30 and had just under 50% left - but have been using it moderately all morning. Finally went under 10% around 12:30. Got a good 15 hours out of it with no problems at all.

I have wifi turned on at home and work and i'm in a 4G area. No problems so far! Battery life issues are overblown in my mind.

the issues arent as bad as people are making them out to me, its mainly the "haters" and people who were so excited about their phone, they had all syncs on, browsing all day, games, etc. my battery has been fine, like any other android phone.

My stock battery went a good 11 hours yesterday and I was happy. I already purchased extended battery (2750) and now i don't worry about turning down screen, etc. I can enjoy the phone full throttle. I am happy to know my stock battery will be a stellar backup in case I need it.

Today is just horrible. An hour and a half later from unplugging it im at 75%. Not to sure whats goin on...

On Saturday, I unplugged my phone at 2pm. Throughout the day I checked my email, sent a few texts, made four or five 7-10 minute phone calls, surfed the web for about 20 minutes and of course played Angry Birds for 15 minutes or so. I didn't plug my phone in on Saturday night and at about 9pm on Sunday I still had 20% battery left.

For me, that is perfectly acceptable as I would consider myself a moderate user. I will also throw out there that I am in a 3G area only.

The weird thing is I dropped pretty precipitously after switching my clock from HTC's widget to Beautiful Widgets. Odd.

How many of you that are having these great battery days (12+ hours) are in a LTE area?

I bump charged to 99% and left the house (3G area) at 8AM and drove 20 mins to Philly a LTE area. By the time I sat in my office I was down to 85%. By noon I was under 50%. I charged through lunch to about 1 and it was back up at 89%. As of right now I'm down to 28%.

I'm sure by the time I get home it will be down to 20% but being in a 3G area, I'm sure it will last all night.

For some reason just sitting there drains the hell out of the battery in a LTE area. I looked at the indicator and it seems like it is constantly communicating with something. The phone is also warm as if its processing data. It sits at 35 degrees C. When I'm home, it's at 28 C.

17 hours WOW!

I had my phone since March 17th and wow did I have battery problems, it is like they no longer exist, I have attached a pic of stats 17 hours and still going strong, this is without extended battery,I run my mouth a lot lmao

Everyday gets better, today it's been on so far for 8 hours and I have 48%. I think the people who are upset, most must be blackberry users. I know I came from a BB and my battery lasted a good 24 hours before I had to even think about charging it. Using the Tbolt is nothing like owning a BB, I use it so much more.

Who all keeps the htc clock on their screen? The flip clock... I'm wondering if this effects battery heavily or not.

That is pretty insane to me. My display is on 28%brightness and its over 68% of the battery

I charged mine twice and I'm at 22 left

I went from Sunday morning at 9:45 to hitting 15% the next afternoon (Monday) at about 1. That was moderate usage. I was at work or sleeping for 14 of those 29 hours. I would say that's still decent though. 3G only, btw.
