Day on the town results

Touring San Fran all day today. Took the GN off the charger at 8:00 ish with the extended battery. 4g on, BT and WIFI off. GPS on all day with some google maps usage (GPS activity). I turned 4g off for about 2 hours on Alcatraz. I took about 50 photos and used facebook for about 5 mins.

Interestingly, the camera app crashed 2 times. Both times had me send crash details to Google. Facebook also crashed once.

I got about 9 1/2 hours out of the phone with the extended battery. Not horrible, but I am a Storm 2 user that regularly got almost 2 days out of a charge, so this is a tough transition. I was worried all day that I left the other battery behind and would run out of juice. I am hoping for 12-15 hours to make me happy. However, I find myself worrying whether wifi/bt/gps is running and how bright the screen is set at all day long. With my Storm, I left all services on at all times. Maybe tomorrow I will leave everything on and see the results.

Anyhow, I just thought I would chime in. Anyone else with similar results? Also, anyone have the camera app crash?

I'm lucky to get 6 solid hours out my stock battery. I enjoyed my blackberry. It was hard to leave blackberry. But they are not moving forward. It was time to enjoy a new phone

My camera app hasnt crash... yet. I havnt put it through its paces yet though. My battery life is horrid. Even with the extended battery ill get MAYBE 7-8 hours. The only time i get in the double digets is if i leave it on while i sleep so its not doing anything. I know the screen is large any amazing, but it just seems like it is using WAY too much power IMO. I really hope that it is something that can get fixed with a OD update, or im just going to consider the Rezound with the extended.

Ya, the Storm 2 was great about battery. It got worse as the battery got older, but for a long while it was great. Obviously it it not as powerful as the GN so I do not expect that longevity, but can I get it close?

I am considering the Rezound, too. However, after using ICS, I tested the Rezound and the UI (Sense) seemed cluttered and confusing. GN is my first Android device so ICS is all I know.

I would prefer a 4" - 4.25" screen, though.

To be honest, I unplugged it early in the morning. It sat idle for a few hours before I got to work. During the day I listened to pod casts and pandora and I browsed this forum. No video or game play. Impressive none the less.
