Daydream screen randomly turning on, how can I stop this?

Daydream screen randomly turning on

I have an odd occurrence on my 6P. I'll be using the phone and then I'll hit the power button to lock it and I'll put it down on a desk and then randomly over the next 30 seconds the day dream screen will turn on for maybe 3-4 seconds and then dim. This will happen randomly and continuously throughout the day, whether I have it docked in my car or at my desk at phone.

Before I'm asked, yes I do have daydream turned OFF in the settings.

Any ideas what the deal is?

Same here. I THINK I may have traced it to Lightflow. Uninstalled and do far, its no longer happening. You using that app by chance?

Had the same problem using Light Flow. After I uninstalled it the problem went away. I'm now using Light Manager and even though it doesnt have as many features as LF I have no intermittent screen waking.

Are you sure its daydream, and not ambient display?

Also if you are using lightflow and its happening, simply disable the option 'switch screen on'.

Turning off ambient display may have done the trick.

Any update? Is the problem still gone? I'm installing LF as we speak and would like to prevent the same issue you are seeing.

Yes, after turning off Ambient Display, the issue is gone. I still have LF running as normal.
