Dead Battery

Alright, I think my battery might be dead.
I fell asleep last night, and it must of had at least 50% or more (I'm thinking it could have been like 70%), and when I woke up the phone had been shut off with 1% Battery life. And it was sleeping most of the time with the screen off!

Now I know most of you would say get a new battery, but I'm planning on getting a phone next week (hopefully) so I'm not dropping 30-50 bucks on a battery for 1 week.
Is there anything else I can do in the meantime to get as much as I can out of it?

I'm not sure if those screenshots are after or before your issue, but those times look about right for the GS5.
Carrier signal plays an important part too.

It could be a rogue app, you could try zeroing on the latest apps you installed or got updated.

Anyway, if you are getting a new phone, you could save all your data and do a factory reset.

Let us know how it goes.

And it would be normal if the phone wasn't sleeping for half the time with the screen off.

They are not NFC capable, but I have my Samsung battery for that. The cheap charger they come with takes forever, but it works. I just charge one battery overnight.

You can't trust amazon
Plenty of people get fake batteries from them

I've bought several OEM batteries for different items and none have been fake.... The ones who have sold fakes are former eBay sellers who have been kicked off eBay and eventually get kicked off Amazon since selling fakes is a violation of terms.. If you think you got one you should report it to Amazon..
