I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 that has recently died. It was working fine one day and dead the next. I tried removing the battery and replacing it... NOTHING. I tried the Volume Up, Home, Power Button... NOTHING. I also tried tapping around the Power Button just in case it was stuck... NOTHING. Even when I plug it in to charge it I get NOTHING. The only response I get from it is when the battery is removed and I plug in the charger, I get a red status light.
Samsung tech support says that it is dead and needs to be sent in for repair.
What I was wondering is, can I swap the motherboard from a damaged (cracked screen S3 from eBay) into my phone and fix the problem?
or
Can I swap the ENTIRE guts of the eBay phone into my existing S3 body?
Thanking You in Advance
Chris
