I have somehow lost the "Do Not Disturb" option

I swiped down today and could not find Do Not Disturb. I want it front and center since sometimes I forgot to engage it and need it quickly. Doc's office or the start of the opera.

I see in the "is this already being discussed" below my proposed SUBJECT that there is a new MODES option.

Frankly, I don't want to have to jump through an extra hoop to set Do Not Disturb. I was at the doctor's office today and realized I needed to DO NOT DISTURB and could not find it. Frankly I was DISTURBED when I had to jump through extra hoops to silence the darn phone. Is there a way to add it directly to those quickies that show on when you swipe down.

I am on Android 15 after finally successfully escaping Beta Hell!

Any help appreciated.

It's literally a pull down tile. Put it first in the lineup.. I'm not sure what extra hoops you are jumping to get to it

Well, in the past (sometime around two days ago!), Do Not Disturb was right there. I did not have to tap Modes and then deal with Do Not Disturb.

Okay, so it may be one more step but who needs an extra step at my age!

I guess I was most DISTURBED when I needed it quickly yesterday and it was GONE! I did not know it had been "heavily" ( ) buried in a submenu.

I think there was an earlier indication that this was coming, the removal of DND and incorporation of it into Modes and Routines. I agree it's probably now an extra step and annoying for most (I still have DND on its own separately from Modes and Routines, so I don't yet really know how disturbed I'll be when the change comes). However, with customization of DND possible as part of a Mode, I can see why someone thought it was a good idea. I actually have normal DND settings arranged to only allow notification sounds for calls and messages from favorite contacts and repeat callers. I set it at that because I kept missing important pokes from family and such. My device is almost always set to this, unless I'm trying to specifically watch/listen to something with audio, and then switch DND off. I also now have a custom Mode (doubleDND) that further modifies DND to completely block all notification sounds from everything and everyone. That's now my serious DND.

You can't be much if any older than me lol

You can always place a DnD shortcut on your lock screen as well

I personally just don't find it that big of a deal. I guess I'm not one to complain about change, but that just me. I adapt and go on.

It sounds frustrating! In Android 15, "Do Not Disturb" may be part of the new "Focus Modes." To quickly access it, try customizing your Quick Settings panel: swipe down to view it, then tap the pencil icon or "Edit" option. From there, look for "Do Not Disturb" or "Focus Mode" and drag it to your active Quick Settings tiles. This should make it easily accessible when you swipe down. Hope this helps!

Focused mode is not the same as do not disturb though
