Android Central Question

I just noticed two tiny little black dots on my screen. They are really small and can be seen only when screen is like 10-15cm away. I thought it's the the dead pixels cause it kinda look like a square.

Now, when I turn off the screen and shine a light on those spots, I can clearly see black dots. Does this mean it's just under the screen protector? If it was dead pixel I wouldn't be able to see it?

I know I can just peel the protection off, but I don't wanna leave the screen unprotected. Also, spots are towards the middle of the screen so if I try to peel it a little bit to check I don't know if it will be able to stick back.

I have Redmi Note 7, just couple of days old.

How do you mean screenshot? Do dead pixel even show up when you take a screenshot on the phone you think has dead pixels?
Or do you mean to take a photo of a screen with another device? I only have a phone with 13MP cam and when I try to take a pic of the dead pixel it just blurs out and it wont focus

That is my question, I forgot I had an account here.

Edit here is the pic from another phone - https://i.imgur.com/0RFzD9Y.jpg (in the black circle near rear right tyre)

Here's better one - https://i.imgur.com/DI4612D.jpg

As I said in the fist post, when I turn off the screen and shine a light on those spots, I can clearly see white dots on the place where the suspected dead pixel is.

I understand , it sounds like it could be dust , but we both speculating at this point what can be . If want to verify this take the screen protector off , if not just leave it alone.

Screen protectors are pretty cheap. If you don't already have a spare, I'd consider ordering a new one (or more, just in case). That way you can pull this one off to inspect things, then put a new one on if this was just a spec of dust.

Btw, I couldn't see the spot in question in your photos. This site does connotes images a lot, so could you try cropping your photos to a small area to limit that compression, and maybe even circle the problem area so we know exactly where to look?
