Question Help! IT'S IT MY SCREEN OR....?

This happened a couple of days ago. First that black blotch in the top left corner happened and when I touched it it changed shapes so I don't think it's dead pixels is it? When the screen goes dark there is a white outline around that black splotch that looks like a crack but there's no crack. I shut the computer down and the next day I opened it up and it came back just fine. Much later that day the same thing happened. Shivering screen pulled up over most of the screen space and it will not go away anymore. In case I miss lead, that black splotch in the upper left corner remains no matter what. But it does change shapes and size. Is there a fix or is it time for a laptop?

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, that looks typical for display damage. You'll need to get the screen replaced. Sorry!

Ya, that's hardware failer. Time to have a shop to look at it or if you're lucky you have some sort of warranty.

Ugh. Wonder how it got damaged sitting in the desk....
Anyone know what a screen repair would cost? Is it worth it? I mean,I believe this laptop cost me around $200 two or three years ago....

Could have been something pressing on the screen while in the desk, an unnoticed bump, manufacturing defect. Who knows.
As for the screen replacement on a $200 laptop? I wouldn't even bother. The screen plus installation would cost more than the original price.
Backup and save any data you care about while you can.
