Dead pixel

I got mine from the carrier and ROGERS WIRELESS has a 30day exchange for defective devices further confirmed at the Samsung experience store.

So I just called Rogers tech support to send me a new one for exchange. I did go to a Samsung experience store to see if they would do an exchange but was told it's under exchange policy.

I know it's a 1st world problem but I hate the time it takes to setup the devices.😭1000001030.jpg

I'm glad you were able to get a replacement sent out so quickly, but yeah, it's pretty inconvenient.
😃

WOW, thank you for sharing. Setting up new devices is much better than the early days with Android.

Just got the FedEx email, the exchange device is coming tomorrow. They were really surprised when I showed the technician at the Samsung experience store. Thing is when I got it July 16th there weren't any dead pixels and it's in the crease. I've never ever experienced this before ever. 1st time

It's always something. Lol

I honestly don't have any headaches in setting up new devices. All the apps, home screen layout, settings are restored from the old phone within 15 minutes. Photos, messages (Whatsapp), email and many other things are in the cloud so zero issues. For app logins, obviously have a password manager so it's a breeze even logging into apps again.

At this point, the amount of phones I get, it's become just another routine task

It can be a little headache going from one manufacturer to another, since everything doesn't get carried over nicely. But Samsung to Samsung, Pixel to Pixel etc isn't that bad and pretty fast to get going on the new phone.

I had a dead pixel on the crease.... but this was awhile back with the Fold 2. It was about 3 to 4 months into ownership, but they repaired the display same day (cost $99).

Would have been a free repair, but I had cracked glass on the back (separate incident that occurred when getting out the car and fell out of my lap, I know rookie mistake) ... I initially was going to just slap a dBrand skin on it and call it a day. But never got around to it.

And Samsung decided to repair the glass back and fix the screen, in order to keep the "one free screen repair" warranty intact... should there be a need for it again.
