Dead pixels... Happened to anyone yet?

I have seen similar posts on Reddit for other Samsung OLED screens like Galaxy series, even latest iPhone X series and some reports on Samsung panel Pixel 2 screens.

So nothing new, happens once in a while if you are unlucky. No big deal get a warranty replacement. If you are out of warranty that's a bigger issue but personally not for me since I don't keep phones that long. If you plan to keep phones long helps to buy the Pixel care or whatever they call their extended warranty plan.
Same applies buying from any OEMs.

This is true. Can happen anytime to any device. Sucks but these are mass produced and things happen. When I bought my F150 this past April the PCM went out 8 hours after buying the truck. They took care of me but still. Things happen.

I watched this and I hope my phone doesn't get it. His phone has a line from top to bottom.
Cool sounds kinda like a racing stripe...... just Google's way of dressing the screen up a bit lol.

It may not be a "feature," but it is typical of a phone that has been dropped, and he states that his phone had previously been dropped.

Wouldn't a dead pixel on an OLED screen be black?

And isn't the Pixel 3 screen density so great that single individual pixels are not visible to the naked eye?

Why does the guy admit to dropping it? Just send it back for warranty without the Hoopla....
