Picked one of these up last night for my Moto Z Unlocked phone. It's a tiny bit thicker than the nonfunctional/decorative woodgrain-looking Style Shell that came with my phone. This is a "good" thing because the camera lens gets a bit of protection with the increased thickness.

The back of that shell has a bit of a corduroy-like texture, which strangely makes it a bit more slick versus the plain/plastic shell from my phone's package.

The best part about this back (vs a Battery Pack with wireless charging) is that the phone still slips nicely into my ProClipUSA car holder.

As for the wireless charging function: I tried it out with an Nokia Lumia Qi wireless charging pad - it worked well, as expected. A 20-minute charge resulted in a 15-20% increase in charge capacity on the phone. Not too bad. Makes for a convenient way to charge my phone overnight.

I just picked up my Moto Z2 Force (my 1st Android device) with this mod yesterday. I tried it with both a Nokia standing charger and one that lays flat and neither worked. They both work with our Lumia phones, so I wonder if the mod is bad? Another possibility, is being new, I'm doing something wrong as well. Any suggestions?

It is qi and everything is working now. The standing charger won't work due to the placement of the coils, wouldn't work with my Lumia 950 either. The problem on the flat one was the power cable. Have a few of these and I grabbed the cable my daughter's guinea pig chewed through. Replaced the cable and it charges fine.

I have this Mod and it is very picky about placement on a wireless charger. looks great though!
