I checked and got it also. It is security update only. Usually beta users have to leave the beta program to get it. This is changed and for the better IMO, I never did understand why it used to be we’d have to wait just because we were beta testers.

Is it normal to take so long for a pixel update to install? First update on my first pixel in a long time Any other phone I've ever owned can do a full os update in 15 mins but I'm in hour two of installing this 400+MB update.

The reason it takes longer is because while the update is going on you are free to use your phone as if nothing else is going on. Many don't have that feature and you are stuck staring at it while the update is going on and you can't do anything else.

It's normal on Pixels. The app optimization seems to take the longest.

Only seems to happen when swiping which sucks bc that's the only way I type on this thing. Have yet to have it happen when chicken pecking. Weird that it never happened before but is now. Wiped the cache and forced stopped it. Guess we will see what effect that has on it

Oh it was very, very frustrating. Collapsed probably 5 times when typing a simple, 4 sentence paragraph. What I did above seemingly has helped a little bit though so that's progress.
