Of course we have to remember they're changing the way updates come out with the whole feature drop thing...... not to mention big software changes on a brand new phone. It does make me wonder though if the days of clockwork like updates might be changing.
Shouldn't impact delivery of monthly security updates.
The fact that we're 16 days past its publication and virtually nobody here has received it without sideloading or inserting a specific carrier's SIM had me calling shenanigans on their 'staging' explanation.
Into my 2nd week on December patch after side loading and zero issues. Not sure why they are holding it back with ZERO communication on their end. No clarity.
Yep, might as well. Did that about a week ago.I couldn't take this foolishness anymore. I bit the bullet and sideloaded the December patch. Easiest process ever.

My wife's pixel 2 xl has it on pretty much every picture that has a person in it. My pixel 3 xl on December patch and exact same photo app version doesn't show the blur option (still shows the pop slider). Makes no freaking sense. It must be server side enabled and has not hit my pixel 3 xl.
Anyone else still not get the update? Pixel 3xl on Fi
No. That has always been available. The new feature is that you can add blur to any picture that has a person in it. As I said before, my wife's 2 xl has that. You take normal picture and you can blur it after the fact. Instead of "pop" she has blur. My pixel 3 xl doesn't do that.I think its only pictures taken in "portrait" mode. I noticed that only those on my 3XL have the blur option, the regular camera pics still have the pop slider
Yeah true, but any picture that I take with a person or people in It, I already have the camera in portrait mode. Lol.No. That has always been available.
