Just received a 619.5 MB system update to 7.1.1
Security Patch dated December 5, 2016
Build Number NMF26F

SF Bay Area on Sprint
Non-beta

Hope it fixes the battery drain but at least it doesn't catch on fire while charging.

Ditto, nothing. I'm on beta on 7.1.1 w/ November security update.

I unenrolled from beta a couple days ago in an attempt to fix my horrible battery life. No such luck. Now I have horrible battery life and I'm stuck on 7.0.

What is using the most of your battery in the stats? Most times it is app related.

Actually a lot of it is user preference related. People want a battery that lasts them a week on no charge, full brightness, as a power user....... and it still wouldn't be enough lol

Unenrolled from beta programming and minutes later downloaded and installed the December update but no official 7.1.1 was there

Just got my update for December( 26mb)more or less security update.android 7.1.1 but I was on the developers program and already had 7.1.1 .I also didn't unenroll.im now on the final build NMF26F.

Just received the Dec 5 update early this morning; build NMF26F
I am on beta 7.1.1 - carrier Verizon

I have been on the Beta program for about 6 mos. Really have had no issues other than curious why security updates seem to run a month behind. Last night, I received the latest OTA update Build NMF26F, Android 7.1.1, security update December 5, 2016.

The update went quickly, and did not require the lengthy "optimize every application" I have seen on major updates.

Also, the boot up reminder screen where I had to acknowledge I was on the Beta program at every restart is no longer present.

I believe the battery drain is related to other apps rather than the OS. My 6p has serious battery drain about 2 weeks ago, before the new 7.1.1 update (and well after my update from the beta programming).

I tried a battery saver app that I read from other forums and it now return to the original life like when I bought it months ago.

Which battery app are you using?
I'm using apps by Cheetah Mobile (CM Speed, CM Lite) and lose about 10% between 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Putting the phone on airplane mode works best for me, loss of about 3% during sleep hours.
.

NMF26F as of yesterday evening. On Fi.
I've not had any battery life problems yet on any build.

Not the least bit impressed with 7.1.1.
My battery drains even more quickly than before; I'm now charging twice a day.
Lock screen notifications appear to be broken: they flicker when they come on, and don't stay off for more than a few seconds, even with the phone on a table.
Perhaps that's part of the cause of the battery drain.
Swiping up to answer a call caught me out the first time too.
