December update?

Does anyone know why Google did not include the 3 and the 3XL in the December update? Why must the users of Pixel 3 and 3XL wait for the update in the 1st quarter of 2022? Thanks.

Because that's what was planned for that device - 3 years of OS and security updates. The Pixel 2/2XL for the same treatment last year, but the last update came in late December.
