Oh well . I got a case today but it was the defender and not the comutter. I thought maybe I read the listing wrong, but it indeed says comutter and not defender. ??????

If you got it from eBay it is more then likely a fake.

I got the Defender a couple of weeks ago and since I always buy maximum protection cases the bulk doesn't bother me but what does irritate me is the supposed kickstand on the holster. It continually allows the phone to fall over, by far the worst excuse for a kickstand I've ever used.

I have always used beltclip holsters but I think I'm coming to the conclusion the N4 is just too large to clip on your belt. IMO it looks a little ridiculous. That said the Defender holster does allow outward screen placement which is my preference and I've had no problems using the holster when sitting down.

I haven't gotten around to it yet but I'd say removal of the built in screen protector is mandatory. It has pretty decent fingrerprint resistance (much, much better than the iCarez glass protector) but it traps dust particles underneath the screen and there's no way to avoid that if you want to have access to your fingerprint scanner. My guess is you don't get the screen clarity a glass protector offers either.

So overall I think I'd rate the Defender in the 8-9 range on a 1-10 scale. I think it's a quality piece, offers very good protection in a drop and has a good grip/feel. My biggest complaint by far is the lousy kickstand, almost every time I use it it falls over. Maybe that's why to the best of my knowledge Otterbox on their own website makes no mention of a kickstand. On Amazon they mention the kickstand but not Otterbox. I bought mine directly from Amazon.
