Currently have the G2 and am thinking about upgrading my phone to the G4 or V10. I'm not a heavy user but would like good battery life just the same. How much bigger is either phone compared to my current one? Which would you choose and why?

Get the V10. At least its a bit newer than the g4. Plus it doesnt have the boot loop issue.

Boot loop issue is only for G4's SN 505, 506, 507, some 508. Mostly 505 & 506. Go for the V10 if the DAC, audio quality is important.
Both have great cameras. The G4 is approx half the price if that matters.

My 509 boot looped, and I saw someone else with an even newer version that had it too, so it's not completely isolated to those early batches.

I think if you're buying new with warranty, it'll come down to price. It was a tough call when I was shopping. I almost pulled the trigger on the V10 when the G4 has a killer offer. $600 vs -$50, it was a no brainer and been happy for the most part.

V10 is bigger and more durable and not sure about battery life which I don't care. The g4 is a battery hog compared to my old S5 active though. But with replaceable battery it's all good.

Do you get good speeds so far?

I belive your asking about speed test? If so I got 26 for ping 22.51 for download and 29.40 for upload. If that wasn't your question I need more as I don't understand then.

How is the V10 more durable? I'm considering getting a V10. The DAC is important to me.

That's what I'm referring too...those are decent to good speeds for most tasks on a phone

Both phones have the same exact same processor, but the v10 has 4GB of RAM while the G4 has 3GB of RAM...I'm not sure why LG touts the V10 as a "premium flagship" with a mediocre processor and weak battery life...LG needs to make sure that if they are going to do a follow up to the V10, it must have at least 5 to 6 GB of RAM , 5000mAH battery , and it needs to have a processor that can top the snapdragon 820 bc by the time the v11 or whatever it will be called comes out, the 820 processor will be many months old already ....now that's true flagship

And then in 6 months, everyone will be calling THAT phone mediocre and not worthy of being called a premium flagship.

To me, assuming the V10 is built to a higher standard as advertised, then it does qualify as premium in my book. I'm tired of this idea of rushing to create something with higher specs at the sacrifice of durability. Much as I love smart phones, their construction is junk for the most part. Otherwise there wouldn't be such a market for cases.

I'm switching from a G4 to a V10. Next week when it arrives I'll have some experience with the V10. The V10 has DAC which is very important for my needs. Also larger screen than the G4 - that could be good or bad depending, and the V10 is heavier. Other things like finger print scanner nice to have. The second always on display might be useful - I'll find out soon. I had a 505 G4. Even though my guess is there's a 75%+ chance it won't bootloop it kind of bugged me, and I have someone that can really use the G4.

I understand your position , but in the phone world , there's always the position that the company that brings the latest and greatest, wins...I am not completely one who has to have the greatest tech @ the moment, but when it comes to flagships, companies have to consider the competition ...and there's a lot of it in the mobile world. LG is bleeding money ...and has been for a while and to be fair, many other popular smartphone companies are not @ the top of their game either ...so it's not just LG, but LG is not fairing as well as others ...that's the whole point I'm trying to make- if you make something and call it a flagship, then the specs and performance along with the phone build should speak for themselves...I just don't get that with the v10...in my opinion
