Decision on HTC One

Fias what charger do you use? I wouldn't mind trying the one you use if it really does speed it up.. :).

mhunter6378 is correct. That is the thread I was referencing. I thought the author did a good job laying out the pro's and con's of both devices based on his experiences. I think it is a great thread to read as you are tying to make a decision on which phone to go with. You just need to figure out what features/functions are most important to you.

When I play music, my speakers are not loud. I mean you can barely hear them when not using headphones. The front speakers work wonderful when using speaker phone on a call, but they are terrible when using them them to play the music downloads. I even switched apps to download my music, but that has not worked either. I have my sound settings on the high and do not know what else to do. Can you give me any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a speaker issue. Mine are great.

SD card storage is not the greatest solution on Android.

HTC One
+screen
+speakers
+internal storage

Sense feels more sophisticated than Touchwiz - which looks like you just walked into a candy store.

S4
+faster updates
+sd card
+removable battery
-screen (amoled sucks - colors not as accurate and not good in sunlight)
+/- life companion features...gotta make your own call on all the extras

Btw, HTC is going to be around longer than you will use your HTC One as your primary phone so don't worry about that.

I'd go play with them both and go with your gut. I prefer the One, but the S4 is no slouch.

I had the one then switched to the S4. Im now really considering moving back. You do notice the bigger screen on the s4, but the more you use the phone the more you notice how laggy the phone is (I had an s3 and it didnt suffer anywhere near as much as this does) and for a 13 megapixel camera it takes awful indoor shots. I havent completely made my mind up yet but they are just a couple of cons you could add to your list :)

You must have a dud phone, neither of these has been an issue for me.

You must have an S4 special edition, my dad got galaxy cuz he thought it looks easy to use...lag is definitely there, camera is good, but phone feels cheap in hand...

I have a nice slim case on my S4 so that's a moot point for me.

Oh and "cuz"?? What are you, 12? :D

So you havent noticed that the lock screen time is takes noticeable time to correct itself, the gallery slowdown whenever you open it or the general lag when scrolling between screens? It isnt just my phone, all of these problems have been mentioned by other users on this forum and in reviews of the phone on the internet. Im using Nova Launcher now which has helped a bit, just thought it was something worth mentioning to this guy when he makes his choice. If i do keep mine ill probably be rooting it to get rid of the bloatware and get rid of the trash that is touchwiz

Not causing me any issues. Heck even if there was a few milliseconds lag, I wouldn't care. Life's too short and the overall great experience that comes with the phone would outweigh a slight delay.

Is that why S4 is laggy despite of having similar benchmarks as HTC?
