I have been looking at the following

Galaxy S 4
Moto X
LG G2
HTC One
HTC One Mini

Galaxy S 4 - I have a Samsung phone now ( Galaxy Express ) , Yeah I know the specs and screen size are way better but it did feel " cheap and gimmicky )
Moto X - Google ( Motorola ) has a hell of a nerve charging 199 for a mid range phone, yes I know specs should not matter but the screen is noticeably " duller "
even then the HTC Mini, the 4.7 screen is a joke as the buttons take up a good part of the screen real estate, yes, Moto X is selling the " user experience"
but the fact remains the the internals cost less than the LG G2, Samsung S 4 and the HTC One, should be priced at 99
LG G 2- I really wanted to like this but it felt like a Samsung S4 clone.

I am down to the HTC One or the Mini, I mainly use my phone for texts, emails and some web surfing, my main issue with the HTC ONe is the power and volume keys being
flush to the body, on the MIni they are raised, any apps to deal with mainly the flush power button especially with a case ? Also if one uses Nova Launcher . is the Blinkfeed disabled ?

From PhoneArena, the One was rated slightly better than the Mini
HTC Phones

I have a silicone case on my HTC One and no problem with the power button. No problem with the volume buttons.
Why is there so much negativity about BlinkFeed? If one doesn't go to that homepage (it's off to the leftmost panel), you don't see it and you can set it to only update with WiFi (default setting), so it won't use precious data.
I like it. The graphics are sharp and I can quickly scan the latest news. It's customizable to some degree.

HTC One all the way... it is easily the best android smartphone ever made. And yes, with Nova launcher Blinkfeed is disabled. Sense isnt that bad, but if you dont like it , there sevreal launchers to chose from, or plenty of roms to flash. Rooting this device is pretty easy. You wont be displeased with it.

Technically this isn't true. Blinkfeed runs in the background, even if you use alternate launchers. Which is why I just ROM the thing to put the Google Play Edition software on it. The only thing I really miss is some of the controls and zoes from Sense. That's it.

Zoes and video highlights are big reasons to like the ONE. If you switch to Nova launcher, you can still open the camera/gallery apps to get those, but when you quit you're back in Sense. You have to manually open Nova launcher again.

I probably would prefer the Mini for the smaller physical size. It's bordering on being uncomfortable in the front pocket when I wear jeans. Would not touch S4 for the cheap look and useless "features" in TouchWiz. I had an S2 (AT&T), which I still think is the best designed Galaxy. Haven't seen a G2 in real life, but the review also complained about the cheap plastic. So, ONE still reigns.
