Decline OTA update?

I apologize if this is covered somewhere else. I checked the FAQs and scanned the threads and didn't see it.

I have FroYo installed manually on my phone and Sprint keeps trying to push me the OTA update. I clicked "install" but it reboots, shows some sort of error, and kicks me to the CWM screen. At that point I boot up with no changes to my phone but then I get nagged about the OTA update again.

Is there anything I can do besides restoring to stock and doing the update? I really don't want to do that if I can help it.

Sounds like you were rooted and had CWM installed am I correct? If so then that is probably your problem. Not everyone was successful at updating to EC05 when rooted even if they had all bloatware in place.

Sounds like Odin back to EB13 or Eclair 2.1 at this point is your only way out if it won't allow you to reboot.
