Decreased battery life and increased data usage

Has anyone noticed either of these issues since one of the last updates? I have noticed that it takes longer to lock on to saved wi-fi in many locations. Battery life used rarely be lower than 50% when I would go to bed and now it is in the 30s and 40s.
 
And you already rebooted?

Can you test it in Safe Mode? At least you can see if the wi-fi issues persist. (I realize it can be more of a hassle to test the phone in Safe Mode for an entire day to see if the battery behaves any better.)
 
I reboot every night before it goes on the charger. Safe Mode all day is just not practical.

constantly searching for wi-fi is a big draw on battery!! :cool:

rebooting daily is using up the 3k or so cycles before batt problems!!:cool:

fwiw: i reboot weekly for that reason!!:cool:

Right, but you can still try Safe Mode to see if the wi-fi connection issue persists or goes away.

I've noticed the reduced battery life. I'm consistency 15% lower than I was at the end of January 2026.

Have you turned off background data use of apps except the ones you need that on? I turned off a bunch of those except the ones I need those on. I also turned off all the Google data sent for feedback as well as the digital wellbeing junk.

I already had them turned off.
