default apps have unread notification numbers?

Do the LG apps like for SMS and mail have the unread messages number on them? That might be worded horribly but I'm not sure how else to say it.

Well they do on my G2, so I can only assume more recent incarnations of the G series do as well.

On the G4 with the stock launcher you get unread notifications on the icons for Texts, email, Facebook and missed calls on phone. There may be others but I haven't noticed

Best news yet! Will miss google messenger but I love icons! Makes my life so much easier! If it could do OWM in the default email I would have its baby!
