Every time I hit a email link while browsing it opens up the stock email application on my brand new Huawei Mate 20 Pro. This is my first Huawei, and I must say there are bugs here and there. Samsung was not like this.

Anyway, Ive selected GMAIL as default email application in settings. No matter what I select here it always opens the huawei stock email app.

Why is this ??

DEFAULT APP --> EMAIL --> GMAIL

Not working! If selected it want to me add gmail to the stock email application. This is not what I want, I want the GMAIL APP.

Anyone?

Its not, d*ckbreath.

It makes no sense, "default app" should mean default APP. Shouldn't have to disable stock email app to get Gmail app as default.

Maybe to you it's rocket science, but if your default app kept showing up when you're trying to use a 3rd party up, disabling the stock app should have been the first call of action.

I'd usually say have a nice day at this point, but I'd be lying you troglodyte.

Thats not the point, the settings asks me what I want as default app. Why offer this option if its useless?

Your scenario also makes no sense, if so there should be a "clear default" function. Shouldn't have to disable an app.

I guess this is just another China style function from Huawei.
