Everytime I refresh to check for new emails, it takes forever with the default email app. Sometimes it completes quick but more often it takes a while... I'm having to close the App in the task manager and refreshing makes it go quicker..

I have 1 Yahoo and 1 Gmail account.. Anyone else noticing this? I know 3rd party apps like K-9 and Aqua mail doesn't do this... It's rather annoying!!!!!!!

Open the app. Hit the menu button got to settings. Then select your account. A meun with options will pop up. Here you can select how often your mail syncs

I have the auto sync off as that drains the battery.. I hit the refresh manually.. This shouldn't matter right?

If you are hitting sync manually no... but the stock email app sucks to be honest I would look into other options. I use touchdown for my office emails. I get them on my phone before my computer at work.

Does touchdown allow you to sort the emails by Sender and not by subject? I like Aqua mail, but it won't let me sort by the sender.

It looks like it's a free app.. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

Edit: spoke too fast.. free for 30 days.....

Yeah it does. ... it is kind of an expensive app but I need quick reliable updates from work.
