Hi, my Samsung A70 won't charge via USB. A tech repair store said they tested with swapped USB port board, battery, and port board to main board cable and still doesn't work.

Next suggestion was some main board work may help but at a price I'm not willing to pay.

So, turns out for some reason, 6 months of photos have not been backed.up tothe cloud and my battery is at 8%. I can copy a few I'm sure.... .

so, is there a way to take the battery out and charge it via a power supply? or male.some sort of adaptor and power the phone another way?

my goal is not to permanently use the phone but copy.files or have enough battery to smartswap into a new phone.

thanks

ps - apologiesfor the duplicates, following submitting the question, the page returned am error and I thought it wasn't posted

Yes you can. If you remove the battery from your phone, you can peel off the sticker that's wrapped over the top, and then unwrap the logic board underneath to reveal the two silver tin strips protruding from the battery. The battery should be labelled as to which one is positive and which is negative. Paying close attention to the polarity you can then hook up a lithium battery charger to the metal strips to charge your battery.

feel so relieved can now recover data from ithe, learned a lot, and saved some cash finstead of using anothwr battery from another Samsung!
