default navigation wont work

Every time I search and select a location it says Google maps forces closed. And after I click force close the message repeatedly comes up. No updates in market for maps either.

Settings > Manage Applications > select ALL > then scroll to Maps > click on Maps then select uninstall.
Allow it to uninstall click ok or yes both times.

Now click this link.

That will take you to the web based market AND allow you to reinstall google maps. Which is the parent to google navigation.

Any more problems ask away.
You have a corrupted download and that is what is force closing.
It happens /shrug.

Google maps works fine on its own though.
edit: uninstalled and reinstalled .. same prob

I just tested it on BACKside-IHO and it works fine. GPS locks on within 15 seconds, and navigation finds directions within 30. Compass orientation works fine, and turn by turn voice directions work as well.
