Default Samsung Keyboard

When I started using my tablet a week ago the keyboard showed me an @ symbol in the bottom left and a .com symbol on the bottom right. These have now disappeared. I found them very useful and helped input speed. While I can quickly get the @ by pressing sym the .com is now not available.
Did I change something in the settings? How do I get back the original keyboard?

I thought that as well but I have tried all the apps I use that require an email and it hasn't changed!
