Default settings reset when you change out the batter

One of the biggest things I hate about my SG3 is that whenever I change out the battery all my default settings get rest and I have to redo them. Does this happen on the SG4 when you change out the battery or does it maintain your default settings?

I've never noticed this on my S3, but then I don't pull the battery all that often. You've got me curious, though. What's an example of a setting that changes after a battery pull.

My keyboard for example, it always defaults back to Samsung after I restart. I have to manually change it back to swype after every restart.
