Defaults not sticking

So for the last couple of days or so my default apps are not sticking. Example when I hit the browser button my default is Dolphin. Now it always asks me which one. Even if I select the option to remember, it doesn't. I don't remember this happening on 2.3.4. Anyone else having this problem.

Same thing, but using firefox. Seems to only happen after I unlock the screen.
