Defective G2 IOS Mechanism?

Hello All,

Just got a Verizon G2 last week (my first real android phone) and everything has been going great until I started trying to take some pictures today.
It seems that the IOS mechanism is out of control and actually CREATES ghosting/stuttering rather than eliminating it.
I took several test shots in a well lit room, and the phone was completely steady in my hands. Here are three pictures to show what happens in nearly every photo I take:

Because the camera sensor exhibits the same behavior when taking pictures and video, I also uploaded a video to show what the sensor does when the phone is perfectly still:

This is what is causing the ghosting seen in the still images above.
Did I get a defective G2? Thanks!

My retinas!!!!
There is not enough brain bleach to remove that video.

I think I threw up in my mouth......

Now for the OP.
Just posting that video tells me nothing.
I'm a photographer and OIS (not IOS) does not mean you won't see any camera shake, it just reduces it.

So what was the shutter speed? If your shutter speed is below 1/100 even OIS can't completely eliminate shake in a dimly lit room.
At 1/200 things get better.

So what focal length are you talking about also? Shutter speed should never be less than 1/focal length if you are trying to get sharp pictures.

I probably didn't state it clearly enough, but that video was taken with the phone completely still. The shaking you're seeing is a result of the sensor shaking itself -- it's designed to rock back and forth to cancel out hand shake, but this phone is doing it when it's not supposed to. I went back to the store today and compared it to the demo model, and the salesperson agreed that I have a faulty sensor.
