Like I said in the 3g after 7/7 thread, I just got off the phone with VZW and it was confirmed that if you are on a unlimited 3G/4G now you will be grandfathered in no questions afterwards and upgrading will not affect anything as long as you are on the unlimited NOW. Then ol' boy apologized for the bad information I was given last week to jump on a 4G before 7/7 by another CSR. He said they got their updated info this week and are giving out the correct info now. SO, no need to lock in for unlimited if you already have it. I either have to take back my charge or give it to the wife for her upgrade and wait out again for bionic.

I had a charge and once this info came out I returned it since I wanted the bionic from day 1. Just need to wait and see what new info leaks in the upcoming weeks. I think this could be a huge seller for verizon if it does come out in july and they allow preorders.

Yup, it all falls on my wife if she wants my charge or something else(then I have to take it back).

Thanks DBM, but what do you mean about telling customers that they need to change their plans? If you change your plan from 3G to 4G then doesn't that make you loose unlimited?

No you'll definitely be able to keep it. This is why: when we activate a device on vzw, the code for data on the device is the same whether it be a 3g or 4g device. Only difference is you have to assign a sim card for 4g phones. Verizon will try to tell you otherwise, but i swear on my beloved lakers you'll be fine.

Haha we're not all bad. I love best buy, but i also love letting people know the real deal
I know if i didn't work at best buy mobile i would appreciate someone getting info for us phone lovers

It would be nice to see something From VZW stating that 3G unlimited prior too 7/7 will get you grandfathered in too 4G after 7/7. I want something I can print off from Verizon and take in there on 7/28 when the Bionic comes out (hypothetically speaking) and say NO you SOB's I am not going to have to sign a Tiered Data contract it says so RIGHT HERE!

I have a feeling that me printing off the tweet that Droid-Life posted probably wouldn't hold much weight in the Verizon Store.

I have known the no commission thing for a while now. HUGE mistake they don't let you work on commission. That is precisely why many people at Best Buy either don't know **** or could give a ****.

Agree. off topic but my mom went in to a best buy to buy a new camera and was going to buy a more expensive one and the employee directed her to a better camera that was a little cheaper and my mom wanted to come back and buy it so she asked when he worked again and then he said to come back anytime because they dont work on comission.

and if i remember right bestbuy even has a better insurance option and the phones are already $50 or more cheaper so i don't have to wait till november to use my ne2 at verizon i will just get it at best buy

Yeah I usually dont get insurance anyway but best buy is usually less packed than verizon.

welp wife doesn' t want my charge so I guess it goes back to the store. I know I can't be too mad at the CSR last week because that was the info she had at the time but now that we know we don't have to jump ship by 7/7 I can reinitialize my storm 2 and ride the wind all the way to bionic
