This is my first One Plus device, I'm coming from iPhone XS Max and Pixel 2. My BIGGEST, But only concern is how slow the camera is. I know after watching all the reviews, Most said this camera is good but not the best which is fine. I assumed they were referring to photo quality, but the bigger issue is how slow the camera is in taking a photo. Let me explain:

I have two boys, my littlest is one year old and my oldest is 3 and I take photos of them all the time, but the issue I am having with this phone is there is a delay when it comes to taking the shot which leads to blurry photos. Should I expect from this device, or should I be using a different camera app like Google camera. i played with the pro mode by changing the shutter and ISO, but it's still not any better.

is there something I can change in settings, is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this what I should expect?

It's definitely with the stock camera app, I downloaded a modified version of Google camera and that seems to be faster. Is there anything I can do to speed up the stock camera app?

Can't say i see any issue with the stock app. Maybe you changed the default settings and caused about lag?

Try increasing the lighting if you are taking shots indoors, the delay may be due to the camera struggling to lock focus.

Do you have HDR set for auto or on all the time? When HDR is on all the time the processing is slower

During day light with lots of Windows? No other phone I have owned struggled during this time, that includes the iPhone x, the Galaxy S9, the pixel 2 or even the original pixel
