Hi,

Is there a way to remotely delete info from my Nexus S 4G in case it is lost or stolen? I was able to do that on my Palm Pre. Thanks

You can get either Lookout or Webroot Mobile Security from the App Market. Both provide the ability to remotely wipe. Your phone, along with excellent antivirus/malware protection. I prefer Webroot's paid version $14 because it also provides protection from bad websites on the web (like phishing) along with phone and SMS blocking.

Unfortunately without a third-party app I don't believe so. You can report the device lost or stolen, and they should be able to sort-of brick the device maybe? I know some can... I know Lookout can do this though. A app that is very good. I would try that.

You can do it with a Google Apps account using the Google Apps Device Policy app. I dont know if you can do this with a free Google Apps account or not. It also provides the ability to locate a lost device. It is free too.

Doesn't Sprint have an app for that. I remember I downloaded it on my Samsung Moment. You could only download it if you had insurance on the phone if I remember.

sprint does have an app called total equipment protection app that does wipe ur phone clean and locate it on a map with GPS if lost or stolen Although its in the Android market I couldn't get it to install on the nexus s 4g. The app comes free if u pay for insurance.

The only downfall I see in using these apps is GPS must be on to locate it and wipe. I myself don't leave that on, it's a huge battery drainer.

I've always left my gps on with all my android phones and found it doesn't drain the battery at all unless one is using an app that is actively using it.

It doesn't use your gps to wipe. only data connection is needed. GPS is used to update phone's location
