take computer(for easy)
1)type google+ in browser and click on google+
2)sign in using your gmail id
3)go to photos(it is in left side column)
4) delete photos which you want
now take your s3 phone
1)go to setting
2)go to application manager
3) go to " all' applications ( they are in row like " downloaded" then slide it left there is " running" and again slide left to get " all"
4) Find gallary there
5) clear data and clear cache( don't worry only those photos will be deleted nothing wrong will happen)
now hang out and see gallary you will be happy .

Assuming that you're using the stock Gallery app, navigate to the Camera folder, then press the Menu button, choose Select item, then tap each picture that you want to delete. Once you've selected them all, press the trash can icon in the upper right.
Edit: Or, if you're already viewing a specific picture, press the Menu button, then choose Delete from the list.

You may also want to try a different picture application - I'd recommend QuickPic: http://market.android.com/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder

Dude! This was da bomb! Worked like a charm, thanks for the info. I had a lot of pix that were duds that I wanted to clear, but they wouldn't and they kept clogging things up. You rule!

I am trying to delete photos that were transferred from my old phone to my Galaxy s3. There are no trash icons anywhere that I can find, I only get crop, set as and details. What else can I do to only delete some of the pictures?

heyy .. my mobile s3 was stolen .. i have an important pictures on it .. how can i delete it ?? ... and i didn`t activate samsung dive ?? what can i do to delete the pics on the stolen mobile ??

Thanks so much for the sync tip on deleting. Didn't take any nudie pics but I was testing out the camera and took like 20pics of myself testing the lighting and I tried to delete them but they kept coming back. The odd part is that I took some pics I actually wanted to save but those got deleted somehow and those havent returned.

my galaxy s3 keeps on "undeleting" my pictures. Eventually I just moved all the pictures I want into one folder, so now it's easier to delete the old folders that pop back up, and they aren't inappropriate or anything, it's just really annoying to have to keep on deleting doubles and blurry pictures and such
