Deleted Google account won't stay deleted.

[AC Question]

Hi - I had three (3) Google accounts. Two were redundant and were deleted.
One of them successfully gone. The other one hangs on.
I get a cell phone notice on my Samsung Galaxy S4
saying: Account Action Required.
This is for a deleted account.
When I respond, it tell me I signed out. Asks me to sign in to continue.
When I push NEXT , it lists the deleted g-mail address and tells me it
Couldn't find your Google Account.

It tells me I have to activate an account I already deleted,
but it can't find the deleted account?

It also keeps me from sending messages on my kept g-mail account because it says it hasn't successfully signed in.

I'm going in circles. Your help very appreciated.

Make sure that it can sign into the account you want working (the one you didn't delete).

(I assume by "deleted" you mean "deleted from Accounts/Google. Just deleting it from Google itself will keep the phone trying to connect to it - you have to delete it from the phone. And from Accounts/Email if you had it there.)
