Deleting a Text Message Without Opening

I have received a text message from a number I do no know and the number looks weird. It shows ups as 1-210-100-019(1). I do not want to open this text and so would like to delete it but cannot figure out how to do this. I don't know if opening the text will cause me problems or not so do not want to open the text. Anyone that can help me delete this text without opening it, please respond. Thanks in advance. jd

I'm not familiar with the Atrix, but try long-pressing on the message. If it highlight you should have an option to delete it without opening.

Thanks for replying to that question. It worked for me on my Droid 4 using kit kat.
