deleting cities from the home weather clock

i was working in a town 40 miles away from home. and i added the home town to the weather. so i had the weather and temp for where i was at and was curious as to the temp difference from home. so i had 2 towns in my weather.

i'm home and now i have 2 of the same towns for weather. the one i added WILL NOT delete. if i go into the menu settings for the weather. i can delete the one i added. but when i go back to the home screen. it comes back. BASICALLY, it's my default weather town. instead of the one that varies depending on my location and automatically updates. i've rebooted the phone. deleted and it still comes back. i've added other cities so now i have a total of 5. but it always comes back to the first one i added. it WIL NOT delete for nothing. i can delete but it just comes right back. and keeps itself as the default.

how can i get rid of the one i added so that it stays deleted and stops coming back as the default. i don't need 2 of the same cities. and would like to have my phone do it's thing again depending on my location. instead of using the one and only one as it's default. i have no problems deleting the other cities. but this first one i added just will not go away or stop being the default location.

i have the rooted 2.2 with the latest update.

I have a similar question. I live on Long Island, I recently noticed that it only says new york. The only time it said New York was when I was in Nyc working, but when I was on Long Island it would say the town I was in. Did they change it so it wasn't changing so much? Any help would be awesome.

mine still changes. it just won't be the default. the first one i added is the default. and the damn thing won't delete so i can go back to the original setting that displays whatever my location is at that point and time.

if you delete the clock widget and re-add the clock widget it will allow you to select "use my location" for the weather as your default. for those having issues with it updating make sure under your location settings use wireless networks is enabled. for whatever reason it changed...mine works with both disabled. but some of my customers doesn't so we found that by enabling wireless networks without using the gps location fixed it and doesn't impact battery noticably.

have you recently changed your update frequency via accounts&sync?

that must be wh y my phone suddenly got fixed. i lost the clockweather for some reason and had to readd the widget.

i just noticed my default city being the one i'm at for the moment. instead of the one i wanted to delete. and mysteriously i was able to actually delete the thing now.

all is now golden.
