Deleting default messaging app help..

I am running reborn ROM and I only use handcent sms for texting... my question is; is there a way I can remove the stock messaging application and solely depend on handcent for texting?

Edit: I have went through root explorer and found the mms.Apk but I am unsure if handcent relies somewhat on that in order to function properly

I can say for certain mms.apk is for [mms=pictures]. Killing it is not so helpful.

I do not know the name of the SMS application. I have the understanding removing the SMS application will break all SMS.

If you use launcher pro, I know you can hide apps from being on the app drawer...
