deleting downloads.

I hope somebody can help as this is driving me crazy. How do I delete a book that I downloaded accidently?

If it is in the Download Directory, the easiest thing to do is use your file manager, and display the download directory, select the file and delete it. The exact process varies depending on which file manager you use.

If it is within an app (Google Play Books or Amazon Kindle App for example) then you need to be more specific, as they are all different.

Thanks for the reply. They don't appear in the in the downloads directory but they are in the google play books.

Open up the Play Books app (don't go to your book collection through the "My Library" widget) and locate the one you want to remove.
Tap the 'pushpin' icon. It should launch a notification window asking you to confirm removal.
Hit 'OK' to continue, and it will remove it from your tablet.
