Deleting frequently text people on htc one x

How do you delete frequently text people on htc one x? Can't see any way to get rid of them! Any ideas?

Are you using stock messaging app?
If you are, when you open the app, on the main screen where you see everyone who texted you, just long press on that person. Another box will appear that gives you several options. One is to delete.

Sorry, not very technical! Just using bog standard texting that is on phone. When you compose, there is a "people" button, on it all the people u have text recently. It's that I want rid of.

It's part of the system. You can't delete the people button.
