Deleting Gmail emails from N5 is not deleting them from Gmail server.

Just got a replacement N5 and I'm using the native email app (as I was on my previous N5), with gmail syncing turned on. The problem is when I delete an email on my phone, it's not deleting it from the Gmail server (it's still there if I check email on my PC).

Can anyone think of some setting on the phone or in Gmail on the PC that I'm forgetting about?

When you say native email app do you mean the actual GMail app of the yellow email app? See attached picture if you are not sure what I am referring to.

In GMail on the phone, click the mail icon in the upper left, click settings, click the email account, then under "data usage" is "Sync GMail"... that may be what you're looking for.

I'm using the gmail app with the red M sticking out of the envelope.

Yes, I have sync checked there.

If it's not your primary account, remove it from the phone and add it again to see if the problem goes away.

Got it fixed by signing out and then back into my google account. Thanks for the suggestions.
