Deleting Pictures permanently

I have the M8 on Verizon and have some pictures that I keep deleting the pictures in both photos and gallery but they keep coming back. I disabled Verizon cloud and turned off dropbox photo upload but they will not stay deleted. I even say yes to delete everywhere.

What am I missing? Is there anything else that needs done.

You could try using a file manager, or moving the pictures to local phone storage and then deleting them (kitkat had some problems with sd cards) or lastly connect the phone to a pc and delete them from there

Thanks what folder are they in? Alot of these are sent received from texts

Go to your M8 Settings, and check Accounts & Sync, you will see a list of apps that has sync-support, remove all virtual-drives apps ( dropbox, drive, .... etc ) from the sync list, that might solve your problem.

Also, consider a reboot. The images you might be seeing could be cache, rather than the actual image itself.

Thanks to everyone, I followed everyone's suggestions and I think I am pretty close. I have gotten most if not all.
