This is so frustrating! How can you delete files from Quickoffice? No options at all. Using DROID Maxx

I think you have to do that via Drive. Quick office is directly linked to it.

Yes, Quick Office is only the application creating and editing the files. Drive is the storage area and that is where you delete them.

Thanks, but I removed it from Drive, but it is still in Quickoffice

There seems to be some syncing issues. I can open a file in the drive app, but I can't open the same file directly in the Quick Office app. I can see it, but tapping it does nothing. Probably because it was just a note file. However, if I create a Word file in Quick Office, I can long press it in Drive and remove it and is disappears in Quick Office.

What kind of file are you trying to delete? Quick Office can only view Word like documents, spreadsheets and presentations. It will see all Drive files, but it can't open them.

I have word files. Two word file and one pdf. I've gone to drive and removed, but they still show in Quickoffice. The help file says to long press and tap trashcan. No trashcan. Tapping and long press only opens the file. No menu item to delete. Frustrating

Quickoffice will still display files it has viewed on the "frontpage" when you first open the app. The only way to "clear" these imaginary files is to do a data wipe from the quickoffice app itself.

Hope this helps.

Deleting Quickoffice Files.
From my Razor Maxx
The way I deleted the unwanted files was
By finding the download file / folder and by clicking the unwanted file and delete.

Thanks; this method worked for me. Wow, such a simple thing proved to be a real pain. Why are these things designed this way?!?
