Is anyone else having issues with Samsung email? I keep getting delivery status emails saying the email address does not exist but I'm not sending any emails to the specified address . Idk what it is or why it's happening. Has anyone else dealt with this and is there a solution to fix it ? I'm attaching a screen shot of the email.

This is not an app issue, this is an account issue (or, more likely, a rogue app one). Carefully check the contents of the rejected e-mail (and make sure it DOES come from the 'mailer daemon' as a legit rejected message) and look for any description of what the message is and who could have originated it. It might be an app on your phone sending messages in the background or your account being compromised and being used elsewhere to send such messages.

Click the Details there to see the exact email address of the "Mail Delivery Subsystem" to make sure it's legitimate. I agree with SpookDroid, that does seem a bit suspicious.

I got this exact same thing about 3 times the other day. Don't open any attachments, just delete!

This is the address it's being sent from .

Ok, that's legit. Have any of your contacts complained that they're getting spam emails from your Gmail account? This kind of hack can occur, but it's usually with older email accounts like Yahoo and AOL.

(I edited out that email address in your screenshot)

Thanks I didn't even realize that I didn't edit it out .

Noone has said anything about getting weird emails from me. I went in and changed my aol password. Not sure if that will help but we'll see. Should I change my gmail pw even though it's coming from my aol account? Thanks for the help.

Do you have an AOL Mail account that goes through your Gmail account or app? In that case, it probably is one of those kinds of hacks where someone gains access to your address book and starts sending out emails. Changing your AOL password will hopefully stop that. You shouldn't need to change your Google password, but it's never a bad idea to change it if there's any concern.

How crucial is your AOL Mail account? Considering how old and how relatively less secure they are, you may want to consider just abandoning it and relying more on Gmail.

Yes I still have aol( lol) , but I use it through the Samsung email app and have gmail as my recovery email. I probably should retire my aol account. Ive had it so long and it's always been my primary.

Since I changed my password I haven't received the email again . The last one was at 8:30 pm. I have started migrating my important emails to gmail though. It's probably time I let Aol go. Lol

It's weird because the google.com domain is for Google employees only. If all of the undeliverable emails are addressed to that domain, then it sounds like the spammer/email hacker is just trying to mess around with Google employees.

What if you remove the AOL account from the Samsung Email app, and instead use the AOL Mail app?
