You listening Google? 😉 While artificial intelligence certainly has a great many potential benefits for humankind, I personally find a lot of the AI marketing steamroller to be silly and, in many ways, merely catering to human laziness. This is an interesting read:

Adverse impacts of revealing the presence of “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” technology in product and service descriptions on purchase intentions: the mediating role of emotional trust and the moderating role of perceived risk
Hello!

You have raised an important issue in the context of AI marketing where there are real benefits and fads: the issue of whether it is better to provide real assistance or help satisfy a craving for the sake of it. The study you referenced points to the fact that how AI is projected affects levels of trust and the significance of risk. Companies need to explain the advantages of the AI very well instead of assuming that people will just use it and do their best to avoid the over-dependence of these technologies.

Considering the scope within which AI can be applied and the restrictions that exist is central to earning the confidence of consumers and the responsible use of the technology within product design.

I appreciate you beginning this conversation!

All the best,
Meyer Luanna
